Rita Padilla Haufmann

My work reflects traditional Rio Grande textiles.  I use the fleece of Churro sheep which I scour, card and spin into yarn.  I create my own pigments from natural sources to dye the yarn.  Finally, I weave in designs inspired by older patterns.
