Carmen Campos

It was the desire of prior generations in small New Mexico communities to create works of art, even in the face of hardship. I aim to carry that same spirit, creating artwork in both form and process as they once did. After 41 years working in various roles in education, I’ve come to truly appreciate how important it is to preserve the cultural traditions passed down to us. Have been creating tin work since 1999 and Colcha embroidery more recently since 2019.
