Martha Varoz Ewing

Martha is a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico and a Traditional Spanish Market Artist in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She feels she has found her passion in creating religious art in various forms and is inspired to create her work by the influence of her family’s artistic background and her strong religious upbringing. She creates her pieces with a combination of tin and straw because she feels they compliment one another as the two elements were known as Poor Man’s Silver and Poor Man’s Gold. Her art is found in numerous private collections and museums which include The Denver Art Museum, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Museum of Spanish Colonial Arts, Expo NM Permanent Collection, Colorado Fine Arts Taylor Museum, Colorado Springs Colorado, and The Vatican in Rome.
